Prado Museum

The Prado Museum is one of the most visited sightseeings in the world, and it is considered one of the greatest art museums in the world. Founded as a museum of paintings and sculpture in 1819, it also contains important collections of other types of works.

For visiting, these are the following rules: Get your ticket online 24 hours before arriving at the museum. You can choose your own date and time, on the day itself you will get in with the time pass. It is possible to visit the museum with your family, or people whom you live with. It is not allowed to visit with other groups, or more than 5 people. At the day itself your temperature has to be no higher than 37,5ºC, there is a possibility they will check. 

You are not allowed to take off your mask during your visit, and it is important you keep the distance. Avoid any physical contact with the person who controls access to the Prado Museum. There is no capability of audio/group tours or baby strollers. The cloakroom is not available.

Royal Palace

With more than 3,000 rooms, the Royal Palace of Madrid is one of the largest palaces in Europe. It stands a garden apart from Madrid’s Opera house in the center of the city. Inside, the grandiose décor and architecture are absolutely worth the fee.

Within the Royal Palace they have come up with new rules as well. Most of the rules are similar to the rules of the Prado Museum. 

It is preferred to order your tickets online. At the box office, only card payment will be accepted. The guided tour will not be allowed, the same goes for audio guides. Electronic group guidance devices and brochures will not be available. You will be able to download an app for the different monuments on your own mobile device. 

At all times the 2 meters between people must be maintained. For that reason some rooms may be excluded from the tour of the visit. The mask is at all times obliged for visitors six years of age and older. The left luggage service will not be available. Acces with food or drink is prohibited

There is a possibility they will randomly do temperature controls. If the temperature is compatible with the systems of COVID 19, access to the monument will not be allowed. 

Parque de atracciones

The Madrid Amusement Park is an amusement park located in Madrid, in the Community of Madrid, in Spain, specifically in the Batan area of Casa de Campo.

It is important to keep the safety distance, wash your hand and always wear your mask properly.  Don’t come to the park if you have any symptoms… 

Buy your ticket online and choose the date and time slot that fits you perfectly! 

There has been a test for the masks on the roller coasters. The masks won’t fall when being in the rollercoaster. 

At all times, the operator or assistant of the attraction will be indicating the corresponding seat. If you want to know which attractions are not operating, consult the site by selecting the day of your visit on the website. 

Real Madrid Stadium

The Real Madrid Stadium is a football stadium in Madrid, Spain. With a current seating capacity of 81,044, it has been the home stadium of Real Madrid since its completion in 1947.

With the visit to Real Madrid it is again important and obligated to wear your mask at all times. It is important you sanitize your hands and keep the required distance between the people. New signs will tell you the safe route you have to take. 

You can only buy new tickets by reserving a specific time slot and date here. They have removed their physical brochure, but have updated their site with more information. 

The elevator has been restricted in use, only for two people, a wheelchair user along with their companion. 

Before entering, they will measure your temperature.

Aquarium Madrid 

This Zoo is the biggest and most famous Zoo of Madrid. It is centered in the biggest city park of Europe, Casa de Campo. 

If you want to visit the Zoo, it is again required to wear a mask at all times and to sanitize your hands when possible. It is important to keep the distance. Don’t come to the park if you have any symptoms. 

Payment is only possible by credit card. 

You can order your tickets via the website. If you want to visit the store, it is required to wear gloves. 

Only touch what you want to purchase. Card payment is required.

Reina Sofía Museum

The national museum, Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, is the most important museum of modern and contemporary art in Spain. The museum opened in 1992 and is named after the Spanish Queen Sofia. The museum is located in the golden triangle, in the vicinity of Museo del Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum. Like the Prado Museum, this museum is located on Paseo del Prado, a beautiful boulevard. Close to the museum is Parque Retiro, Madrid’s most famous urban park.

It is obligated to wear a mask and to keep a safe distance of 2 meters. The Museo Reina Sofía opens its doors with access to the Collection 1 and 2, the Sabatini Garden and the Nouvel terraces in its Main Site, and the current exhibitions.

Tickets can be booked online in different time slots. Electronic payments by credit card are encouragedSafe exhibition routes have been marked out and hand sanitiser dispensers have been installed at various points throughout the route. Paper handouts and information material have been withdrawn and are available online via the QR codes located in the exhibition rooms. 

Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum

Duccio, Van Eyck, Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Kirchner, Mondrian, Klee, Hopper…these are just some of the great names whose works you can see in the museum. Wander through the collection made up of almost 1000 paintings, spanning the history of art from the 13th right up until the 20th century.

The use of face masks is again mandatory, it is important to keep the distance and to wash your hands frequently!  

It is recommended to purchase your tickets online or by phone. They have reduced their visitor capacity in all galleries, so check the date you want and book! 

There is no tour available, but there is free Wifi available to download or access content that makes your visit easier.
